The Ambassador Program is way to have a direct impact on your community and expand the reach of the CDDO. You will receive training on how the IDD system works for people who need to access services. As an ambassador, you will help to identify opportunities for CDDO staff to speak and present to people who need information about IDD services. You will be plugged into volunteer opportunities throughout the IDD network in Johnson County so you can volunteer hands-on if interested.

We will team up with you to attend events, gatherings and meetings in your life where people with IDD, families and businesses may benefit from information about accessing services, working in the IDD field, hiring people with disabilities and more.

You will be given information about legislative issues that impact the IDD network so you can support the advocacy efforts of people in service, their families and providers.
